Chinese cabbage salad
This sweet and sour salad mixes crisp Chinese cabbage with wonton chips and a zesty homemade dressing. Once you start eating this crunchy creation, it’s hard to stop! Keiki can help by crushing the wonton chips and measuring ingredients for the dressing.
INGREDIENTS
SALAD
1 medium Chinese cabbage, finely chopped
1 4-oz bag of wonton chips, crushed
DRESSING
1/2 cup of vegetable oil
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup of mayonnaise
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp dry mustard
2 tsp salt
1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
2 garlic cloves, crushed
INSTRUCTIONS
Whisk together dressing ingredients until thoroughly mixed.
Sprinkle crushed chips over the chopped cabbage.
Before serving, pour half of the dressing over the cabbage and chips and toss until coated. If needed, add more dressing to taste.
